Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions should be read and understood by the client before agreeing to employ the services of Tekkie
Definitions:
The Client : The company or person/s requesting the services of Tekkie
Tekkie : Company Owner, Web Designer, Employees
General Requirements:
Tekkie will not carry out any work until an agreement has been reached via phone, email, fax, text, WhatsApp, in person or any other means of communication that states that the client is happy to begin. Once this has been done it will be deemed a written or verbal contract between Tekkie and the client.
Scope of work:
Tekkie will endeavour to deliver all work on time and to the standard promised on our website. Due to the nature of the work delivery times are estimates.
The website graphics, programming code and any assets provided by Tekkie remain the property of Tekkie until all outstanding payments are paid in full.
The client is responsible for supplying all requested content and information essential to complete any task within the agreed time frame, Tekkie will take no responsibility for the late delivery of any work where the client has failed to deliver content or information within this time frame. If content or information is not available within this time frame just let us know as we may be able to help you locate or create it.
Tekkie will take no responsibility for any copyright infringements for content (textual or graphical) supplied by the client.
Any work further to that agreed with the client on the initial consultation will be charged at an hourly rate of £50 per hour, unless a maintenance package has been previously agreed, in which case there will be no charge other than than what was agreed in the maintenance package.
Tekkie will not be responsible or liable for any losses or costs incurred due to the failure to meet deadlines.
Once work has been completed and delivered to the satisfaction of the client, Tekkie has no obligation to update, maintain (unless otherwise agreed), troubleshoot or fix the website or platform. Any work of this nature outside of the initial agreement further to the agreed works will be charged at our current rate of £50 per hour.
Support:
Tekkie will provide basic support to help the client familiarise themselves with any website, platform or software created or implemented by Tekkie during the scope of the contracted work . We may charge for support if we feel the time taken is beyond that of our goodwill, if you have decided you will update and maintain a website yourself it is your responsibility to learn the tools required to do this.
Any errors or defects that are discovered within 14 days of delivery of the website or implementation of software or services that are deemed the fault of Tekkie will be fixed free of charge as soon as is possible.
Payment:
A non refundable deposit of 25% (50% for work of less than £500) of estimated costs must be paid before any work commences.
Once work has been completed to the specifications agreed with the client, the remaining balance will be paid with 14 days, failure to do this will be a breach of this agreement. If the client decides they no longer require the website or services provided during the contract term the client is still obliged to pay for the work that has been completed, RE: ‘The Kill Clause’
Only when the full payment has been received will any website access or log-in to third party websites or integrations be supplied.
The Kill Clause
If work is cancelled at anytime once work has commenced the client must pay at least 50% of the agreed quoted amount, 100% if more than three quarters of the work is complete. Once you agree via email, text, WhatsApp or any other communication method this will be deemed a written or verbal contract between Tekkie and the client.
Privacy
Tekkie will not share, sell or divulge any of our clients details with any third party agents, we will only ever email or contact you regarding work related matters.
